New Ways of Joint Surgery

Knee Surgery and Joint Preservation

For patients with knee injuries or joint pain we have a range of treatment options including knee arthroscopy and joint preservation techniques. These approaches aim to manage joint conditions early and may delay or reduce the need for joint replacement surgery.

Our orthopaedic surgeons use patient specific instrumentation in surgical planning a method that allows for precision in surgical techniques. Treatment plans are individualised to each patient with consideration for long term joint function and mobility.

Hip Arthroscopy and Preservation

Hip arthroscopy is a minimally invasive technique used in the management of young adult hip conditions including femoroacetabular impingement. Dr Parminder Singh is involved in the development of surgical instrumentation and implants for hip arthroscopy and joint preservation surgery. These procedures are designed to treat soft tissue injuries, correct joint abnormalities and support joint function.

Regenerative Therapies and Advanced Biomaterials

Advances in mesenchymal stem cells, tissue engineering and growth factors are driving research into cartilage regeneration and bone grafting techniques. Biomaterials are being used in orthopaedic procedures as part of treatment plans to support joint function and recovery.

Trauma Surgery and Pain Management

Approach to Trauma Surgery

Our trauma surgeons manage musculoskeletal injuries, fractures and bone defects. Treatment is based on current orthopaedic research and surgical principles to support functional recovery.

Other Surgical Services

While PJS Orthopaedics provides orthopaedic surgical care, there are other surgical services that are outside of our scope of practice. For example patients requiring rhinoplasty for breathing concerns or nasal reconstruction may see specialists in that field such as Dr Rodriguez Rhinoplasty in Melbourne. These procedures are separate to orthopaedic care and are performed by surgeons with expertise in nasal surgery.
